Happy Thanksgiving!

Zoey had a great first Thanksgiving over at her Lolo and Lola's house.  She got to spend some good time with them as well as her Uncle Mark, Auntie Erin, and Cousin Gabe.

We rolled in on Wednesday afternoon.  Poor Mark, Erin, and Gabe were sick with one thing or another.  Zoey too was on antibiotics for her first ear infection.  On Thursday we had a lot of family over.  Zoey was being very shy and fussy.  She would look at someone, then bury her head in my chest, only to then look up at them again.  She fussed with everyone ... it must have been too overwhelming for her.  Things calmed down eventually and several of us were seated in the living room.  Zoey was playing with a wet paper towel.  She would raise it to her forehead as we all watched.  When she lowered it we'd say "Peek-a-boo!"  She must've gotten a kick out of it because she kept doing it.  I had her say good night to everyone around 9 o'clock, but Zoey would not go to sleep.  Around 10:30 I brought her back down as people were leaving.  She had a rough night.  We let her sleep in the bed with us, and it was nice to cuddle.

On Friday we chilled.  Here she is with Gabe.  These two are a couple of thumb-suckers!  Zoey put her hand on Gabe's leg, something Gabe was not too fond of.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Gallery photos start here.

Aunt Mimi's Birthday

I previously posted an entry for Aunt Mimi's birthday on the Wingler family blog here, but this will be from Zoey's experience!

On November 14th, Zoey, her mom and her dad went to Johnson City, Texas to celebrate Aunt Mimi's 60th birthday.  We had an awesome time.  It was wonderful to get all the babies together again.  At one point I was holding Tarin as Anne was holding Zoey.  Zoey kept patting Tarin's arm, but Tarin didn't seem too interested!  We watched cousin Lula eat some pears and make funny faces at how tart it was!

Here we are outside of the Silver K Cafe.  Zoey enjoyed looking at all the plants and reaching for the water in the fountain!

After a lovely brunch, we all piled into cars and headed over to the Exotic Zoo Resort.  It was basically a hay ride through 100+ acres of land inhabited by funny and friendly creatures.  Zoey got to ride with her mom and dad in her Baby Bjorn while everyone fed the animals from feed buckets.

She just LOVED the camels!  They were huge and came right up to us.  Everyone had a great time.  Zoey was exhausted afterwards and had a good nap ... then a good bath!  We'll have to go back again some day when she's old enough to feed the animals herself.  See all the photos in her gallery here.

First Post!

Welcome to the personal blog of Zoey Andrea Wingler.  Her mom will be typing for her until she can talk to you all herself!  Her original blog is here:

Using blogger/blogspot is much more convenient to update, but all of her photos here will also show in her gallery:
